Welcome to Home Shalom!

Welcome to Home Shalom and Shalom Farm. We pray your visit here be blessed. We are learning to walk in the Ways (Torah) of our Father YHWH and follow Y'shua, His Messiah until He returns to "set things straight". We call it a "Messi-Life". Our walk is neither tidy nor perfect, but it is filled with passion, devotion and desire to serve our King. We are learning to be humble servants, and to be good stewards of the things that He has entrusted to us: His Word, our marriage, our children, our family, our community, our health, and our farm. Hitch your horse and stay a while--our door is always open!

Homebirth Encouragment

I found this video during my last pregnancy and played it and played it through my time of waiting. I just thought it was one of the most beautiful things ever. I sang along with it - time and time again in my 9 months of waiting. This is how labor should be! This is how my last one was for sure. I even danced during (early) labor as I worshiped. May you be inspired to turn your next labor into a LABOR OF LOVE!

You can see her big pregnant belly during this video. I hope that is not offensive to anyone. Hopefully you can see past that to the beauty of her worship through her labor. It still makes me cry when I watch it! The beauty of her husband, daughter and midwife/friend all there and attentive to her during her labor in a priceless picture of love, family and community. It is so organic. It is so precious. Can you see the interaction between her and her husband as he leads her?? Can you see her shalom in the midst of her pain?

I get on my knees and thank YHVH for allowing me to have my babies at home in a similar way. I thank Him for the miracle of birth. I thank Him for brave women who are taking back this experience from the modern day "hospitals" that have tried to steal it from them in the name of "science". I pray that I may have another opportunity to bring another healthy baby into this world for YHVH.

How beautiful! It put a smile on my face to read your description... My last one was my homebirth baby and I was quiet as a mouse because I was so focused on the birth... different, but I wouldn't change it for the world (and would try my best to avoid the hospital still). :)

Such a beautiful video! Ive seen it before and its lovely isnt it! Luv Donna

Just wanted to add that it is hard isnt it when posting birthy things in not wanting to offend! because I want to be a midwife and am already a doula and very into birth I often dont think of how certain things like a uncovered belly may offend people! It is not my desire to offend either, just to show the beauty of birth!

I've watched this one before too and it STILL makes me cry every time I see it! Thanks Pamela for taking the time to share it with others and also for your encouragement.

It is a LABOR OF LOVE! AMEN!
Even though this is only our first homebirth, we have been so blessed to have incredibly worshipful, joyful and peaceful births filled to the brim with the presence of our King! Can't wait for this one!!!

All my love to you,
Lus x

Thank you for sharing! I have seen this before, but what great encouragement to see it again, as we are planning the homebirth (our first) of our fifth little blessing. We truly desire to have a worshipful birth this time, where we are able to give God the true glory He deserves for all He has done for us. :)

Shabbat shalom Pamela, I was just getting on here to grab a quick recipe when I found this video...I have tears streaming down my face. How beautiful to be able to praise Abba in the midst of labor and the bringing in of a new life. Abba is so amazing to me.

Thanks for posting this video. It is beautiful:)
