I think however, that the worst irony is...that Christians don't even understand it fully..because the WHOLE GOSPEL - the WHOLE Word in its context is not being fully learned or taught consistently in seminaries or from pulpits. Pieces yes...but it is fragmented to say the least.

Above all - We also are sanctified by Yah and likewise Yeshua. Yeshua is Yah's plan for our salvation!! Yeshua sits at the right hand of Yah on judgement day and will plead our case for those who are faithful and he will condemn those who are not. That is super huge! However, Yeshua is not the only means of sanctifying us as it may be taught by some. He is another thing that YHWH uses to sift out the chaff from the wheat - to seperate the goats from the sheep and so on. Yes, the buck stops with Him, all will pass through Him (the door) on THAT day, and the Torah (Bible) will be the standard by which judgement is made. Does that make sense?

I am trying my best live a faithful, committed' joyful wholehearted, sanctified life in Service to my King, but I know at the end of THAT Day and every day, it is His
mercy and grace of which I depend to "make the cut"! May Yah bless you and keep you in Him, Pamela MommySetFreehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09108945088100513996noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7303462433904424263.post-83047720886199694652014-09-02T22:05:11.317-05:002014-09-02T22:05:11.317-05:00That is a great question. Let me try to explain.
L...That is a great question. Let me try to explain.
Let's start by looking at the definition of sanctification or "sanctify". Webster's below-
1 : to set apart to a sacred purpose or to religious use : consecrate
2 to free from sin : purify
3 a : to impart or impute sacredness, inviolability, or respect to
b : to give moral or social sanction to
4 to make productive of holiness or piety <observe the day of the sabbath, to sanctify it — Deuteronomy 5:12

How do Yah's commands ( in other words - his Torah and the whole Bible) "sanctify us"- you ask? Simply put- The Bible is made up Yah's instructions, stories, testimonies, warnings, and promises. This is what we live by, this is our written example which includes Yeshua (Jesus) as our primary example and only flawless example. Yah uses all these things to help set us apart (sanctify) for His purposes. He uses it to teach us His ways, and tests our faithfulness. He uses it to teach us how to "walk out our salvation with fear and trembling". He uses it to train us in righteousness. This is a ver sanctifying process.

Christianity likes to make a language of their own, with religious talk, and making certain words mean very narrow specific things to fit its version of doctrine. This happens with words like salvation, redemption, propitiation, holiness, baptism and the list goes on. Religion is built around these words...The original meanings get kind taken out of context and redefined into something "else". Sactification is one of those words as well.

Trace the words sanctify, sanctification, and sanctified in the Scripture to see the things that I am going to mention here. I love to do biblical word studies. It helps me train my mind to think biblically. It helps me to see the scriptures holistically, if you will. Sancty was one of those words I wondered about too. What does it MEAN. I learned quite a few things through study this word in the scripture. Studying the context all all these entries ( and more) helped me understand sanctification better.
-Many things are sanctified.
- temple and Implements for temple service are sanctified.
- Scripture uses the term " sanctify yourself" in several places.
- Sacrifices are sanctified.
- We are sanctified in "truth".
- An unbelieving husband is sanctified through his wife.
- The Sabbath, YHWH, priests, his people, etc. all sanctified.
- Several things are mentioned "as sanctifying" such as keeping Shabbat (sabbath), washing (mikvah or baptism), abstaining from sexual immorality, and of course Yeshua's sacrifice!!!!
- Yah's name and character is sanctified.
- Scripture tells us we are Sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
- first borne are sanctified. One question pops out to me though. You sing that we are sanctified by the commandments. I see sanctification through Yeshua. Can you explain your stance ?
Thanks !Ahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01628120603364108409noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7303462433904424263.post-26004003182546708822011-04-27T11:12:51.233-05:002011-04-27T11:12:51.233-05:00After further reflection and prayer seeking direct...After further reflection and prayer seeking direction in the in making a list of "5 top things" we want to "cekc ourselves on to be sure we are instilling them in our family....we were overwhelmed! We came up with 10X that many! Who can narrow those things down? As I was approaching a matter of dicipline with my children (hearing a squabble form the other room) I cried out in my Spirit to Abba and said, "Where is the LOVE????" And immediatly 1 Chor 13 came to mind...This is what our family needs right now...a refresher in the Ways of Love! So...I took to Papa and He agreed. That is what we will be doing in place of our original idea of the 5 things...Yah willing, I will post some of that process - as a series, or maybe as updates in the Weekly Family Jots and Tittles during this period of Counting the Days to Shavuot.

Much Love, pMommySetFreehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09108945088100513996noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7303462433904424263.post-78819937226104646302011-04-26T17:06:44.005-05:002011-04-26T17:06:44.005-05:00THis is awsome, I am loving to visit the hop for t...THis is awsome, I am loving to visit the hop for this...!
