There are so many great teachers out there, but Tom Bradford is one of our all time favorites! He opened Torah up to us in a way that not other teacher ever has. He has a FREE site that goes through Torah 1 chapter at a time. It is very thorough He is a level headed clear and thorough teacher. He taught us how to see patterns in Scripture, how to connect Old and New Testament, the list goes on and on! I can not praise his Torah Class enough. He is working through the whole Bible, one chapter at a time. We highly recommend it! This class is perfect for those who are new to Torah and those who are not. It is plain enough for the whole family to listen to together. My children look forward to Torah Class. We listened to many lessons in the car while traveling. My grandmother (and aunt) who have been raised in the Christian church (Baptist) for over 50 years went through and loved Torah Class. (Because they were thirsty for the truth...It was challenging...but she went through the whole Torah and it helped her understand her Creator better and her granddaughter better too!) :-)
Restoration of Torah - Tony Robbins
This is one of the newer teachers that we appreciate. He was brought to our attention by several different friends. We have really appreciated his systematic way of teaching. He really brings out the "Big Picture" understanding of Scripture and teaches you how to recognize the Chiastic Structure and writing style present through out the Bible. He teaches you thematic analyses and many other things. He offers free You Tube teachings, free articles on online as well as books. (We recommend The Scroll of the Gospel of David.) He also offers weekly Torah Portion Study in thorough written form. He is a solid teacher.
119 Ministeries - Test Everything!
This is a wonderful ministry with Scriptural teaching done in short video form. Some lessons under 10 minutes, others ranging over an hour. All are poignant and Scripture filled. This is a WONDERFUL tool to share a specific message with others! Clearly one of our new favorite ministries!

We love to listen to Brad Scott...his insight to the Bible from someone who studies language is so helpful. He see things that others don't...we love to learn from him.You need to buy his materials, but they are so worth it! He (along with Tom Bradford) can't seem to but lessons out their fast enough for us...we gobble them up! Here is a very comprehensive list of research tools Brad recommends for studying the Bible (so do we). Some of them are "advanced" references that are very collegiate but Brad also has two tutorials on how to use them if they are bit too advanced to know how to use them. We found these to be very helpful and necessary for us. Learning Research Tools 1 and Learning Research Tools 2
Skip Mohen
We were introduced to Skip Mohen's teachings by someone we met a year or two ago. Ben has been receiveing his free studies via email for that long. Ben HIGHLY recommends his book Gaurdian Angel. It really helped us connect the dots for us, to help us understand the HEBRAIC understanding of woman's created purpose - like we have never seen explained before. It helps us process some currupt Chirstian teaching we have been exposed to in the past. This is the book that the new friend (practically stranger at the time) GAVE to us - when first learning about this teacher. Skip Mohen is a language master and teaches from a Hebrew perspective. If you like Wild Branch or Jeff Benner's teachings...you should really appreciate Skip Mohen.
Here is an Online Interlinear Bible that is free. You can reference the original language from anywhere! It also has Strongs numbers.
Audio Bible Online
I really appreciate this online audio Bible. Sometimes it is especially nice to HEAR the word. Especially if you are busy at work with you hands (like dishes of folding clothes, etc) or if you are not feeling well. This audio Bible has a search box on the top and you simply select the Book and Chapter and push play.
Daily Scripture Email
While we are in no way associated with the Church of The Great God, we came across their daily Scripture newsletter called The Berean, a few years ago and have received it most of that time. We appreciate it and recommend it.
Hebrew- English Tanak
This is a free online resource. I like how this is laid out. Unlike the other common layout of interlinear Bibles, which put the each word under the other. It lists the Hebrew on one side and the English on the other and it parallels the verses on each side so that it is easy to follow from one language to the other while having an easy reading flow. Each style has its strengths, this one is particularly nice for reading and comparing phrases. Then if you want to "piece something out, the other one can help you do that. I often prefer this style to the other.

bible-history.com
This is a neat site worth exploring. They have lots of free resources and they have maps and books galore of ancient history!
There are all Free Online tools that are helpful for searching/studying the Bible. They all have different strengths so explore and see which ones you like best. They are so helpful when you have a topical question or when you want to cut and paste verses or when you have part of a verse in your head, but you have no idea where to look for it (that happens to me A LOT).

The Real Messiah
This book is a humble work by a friend's son -- but it is SO SPOT ON! We have never read a better book (accept the Bible) about Y'shua! I highly recommend it. We intend to have it for sale in our store once we are up and running. Every Christian and every Jew (and everyone in between) should read this book!

ReplyDeleteCarol,
ReplyDeleteI would love to hear back form you after you have taken some of Tom B's Torah Classes...we appreciate His teaching so much. I agree also, that Tony R. is also a good teacher! We really appreciate his method of teaching in thematic analsis! We have learned a lot by applying that to our study. It is also, so sweet to see in the Hebrew. That reminds me, I would like to list him our Bible Study page! (Thank you!)
Tom Bradford highlights "patterns" in Scripture as he goes through Torah very methodically, (in order one chapter at a time) like no other teacher we have studied with. I think you will appreciate that too.
Totally, totally agree with your take on Mr. Tom Bradford's Torah class. Definitely the most awesome Torah teachings on the planet!
ReplyDeleteHere is a link to a very good resource for sound biblical teachings. Many are free. Torahresource.com
ReplyDeleteJust came accross your page, it's a blessing! Todah Rabbah for your desire in sharing your knowledge and experiences. Shalom!
ReplyDeleteLove this page...have not seen it until now. Just FYI, your link to the book near the bottom "The Real Messiah"...does not work. It goes to the previous resource.
ReplyDelete"Paul Amy",
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your comment! I was able to correct the link to the "Real Messiah" above.
I absolutely LOVE Tom Bradford's teachings. I am still working my way through them, but he has opened my eyes to so many new things. I look at the Bible much differently now.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the links. I will be checking them out.
