Welcome to Home Shalom!

Welcome to Home Shalom and Shalom Farm. We pray your visit here be blessed. We are learning to walk in the Ways (Torah) of our Father YHWH and follow Y'shua, His Messiah until He returns to "set things straight". We call it a "Messi-Life". Our walk is neither tidy nor perfect, but it is filled with passion, devotion and desire to serve our King. We are learning to be humble servants, and to be good stewards of the things that He has entrusted to us: His Word, our marriage, our children, our family, our community, our health, and our farm. Hitch your horse and stay a while--our door is always open!

Complete Torah Curriculum

Have you hoped for a complete Torah Curriculum for your children? It is finally here! Tom Bradford (one of our all time favorite Torah Teachers!) has completed a home-school curriculum! This is designed so that it can be used in churches and home-churches and in families. For the children's series, there is a textbook and a Teacher's Guide for each book of the Torah. He also offers a curriculum for Adults, which consists of a study guide and text book for each book of the Torah. This format is done in Kindle, EPUB or PDF formats.

I haven't gotten my hands on them yet (but intend too) and am seriously considering taking the adult course for my own study and reference even though we have already been through His Torah class (all the way to 1 Kings). We are very excited to explore these resources! Our experience with Tom's classes over the last 5 years has been nothing but praise!

If you would like to take Torah Class for FREE, you can always do that in printed or audio formats.

UPDATE: I am not the only one who is excited about the new curriculum. Kim, had posted the following comment in our homeshcool group on the Messianic Keepers at Home Forum that I found to be very helpful:

"I spoke with Mr Bradford, who stated that the adult vs homeschool textbooks are almost exactly the same... the main differences are found in the teachers manuals... the adult teachers manual include indepth study for personal use, but the TM for the homeschool version is geared more for homeschooling... The other great addition to this, is the weekly audio teachings on the torah class website that can be added to your torah lesson.. as it goes along with the weekly homeschool lessons. "

I want to clarify here, that what Kim refers to as Adult teacher's Manuels are called "adult Study Guides" on on the site. We are going to go order ours now!

In Him,

I HAVE hoped for one! This looks really neat - I will need a study like this for my oldest for his last year or two of highschool. Did you get it? I don't see samples, do you know if there are any?

I need to look into Torah class too. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Chelle,
There aren't any samples that I know of, that is a good suggestion. I will email Tom Bradford (the teacher and see if that might be something he would make available on the site). I'll see if can get ben to email you with a sample of mine. ;-)

Michelle,
I emailed Tom Bradford about the sample question and this was his reply:

"It IS provided. Just go to the HolyLand Marketplace website and every Curriculum book has several pages to flip through freely."

I found the previews. Thank you so much!

Me again. =)

Ok, on the holylandmarketplace.com (http://www.holylandmarketplace.com/bibles-and-books/e-books-1.html) I see only the Genesis books, but DO see a preview for what is on there. Where are the other books?

On the link in your post, I see ALL the books - Genesis to Exodus, but only a buy now link - no previews.

This is really promising and I am encouraged - this is just what I need for my oldest - to give him an independent solid foundation in Torah before he graduates.

I'm pretty sure I am going to get this but would like to see the previews for the other books.

Thanks, Pamela!

He has just released the curriculum. I know he is posting them in order. Each book is very detailed and complete, so you will only need to buy one set at a time. I know Genesis is done, (because I have it). If you like it's format, you will like the others. But if it is not up, i know it will be. Tom is a pretty steady-detail oriented guy...so it might take a little time, but it will be there. I chose to just get started with Genesis, i know he will have Exodus up way before we will have a chance to finish Genesis again. :-) You an always get a taste of the teaching from Audios too. They will support one another. Hope that helps and your family is blessed by it.

Ok, here is what I need to know then - the Genesis is a 21 week study - how long are the other studies? I need to know if I can squeeze these all in in 2 years. Are the weekly lessons one day a week or more? IOW, can I squeeze more than one weekly lesson in in a week?

Thanks, Pamela!

Hmmm, I think you will need to contact them through the site to get the answer to that question. Only having gotten my hands on Genesis. I do not know. I suppose if you doubled up on it as a priority or kept it going through the summer you would be sure to finishe it. We do things like that. We finished his audio Torah in 18 months, but it was meant to be on a 5 yr weekly schedule! :-) I guess it all depends on your priorities and goals (and maybe state requirements if you have to appease those.) :-)
