Welcome to Home Shalom!

Welcome to Home Shalom and Shalom Farm. We pray your visit here be blessed. We are learning to walk in the Ways (Torah) of our Father YHWH and follow Y'shua, His Messiah until He returns to "set things straight". We call it a "Messi-Life". Our walk is neither tidy nor perfect, but it is filled with passion, devotion and desire to serve our King. We are learning to be humble servants, and to be good stewards of the things that He has entrusted to us: His Word, our marriage, our children, our family, our community, our health, and our farm. Hitch your horse and stay a while--our door is always open!

Sweet Mustard Popcorn

I love to dip my regular (butter and salt) popcorn into a little side dish of yellow mustard.  So I thought I would experiment with a seasoning that uses dry mustard.  The following, is the tasty little combo we like!

2 quarts (8C) popcorn popped
1/4 cup coconut oil or butter melted
1 teaspoon mustard powder
1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper
1/2 teaspoon sea salt (or salt to taste)
1/2 teaspoon sugar of choice

1.  Mix all the seasonings and sugar together in a little bowl.
2.  Melt the butter and pop the corn.
3.  Drizzle the corn with butter or oil and toss.
4.  Sprinkle with premixed seasonings and toss.

Enjoy!

I love mustard pretzels, this sounds yummy yummy yum! I'm going to try 1/4 tsp onion and 1/4 garlic powders instead of the pepper. (Kids are sensitive ) Layah Pontiff
