Welcome to Home Shalom!

Welcome to Home Shalom and Shalom Farm. We pray your visit here be blessed. We are learning to walk in the Ways (Torah) of our Father YHWH and follow Y'shua, His Messiah until He returns to "set things straight". We call it a "Messi-Life". Our walk is neither tidy nor perfect, but it is filled with passion, devotion and desire to serve our King. We are learning to be humble servants, and to be good stewards of the things that He has entrusted to us: His Word, our marriage, our children, our family, our community, our health, and our farm. Hitch your horse and stay a while--our door is always open!

Love is as Love does

Reflections of what love is:

The man who opens the door for me as a approach with stroller
The neighbor who drops blessings things at your door
The person who waits patiently behind you at the checkout counter when their was no price on your item.
The friend who automatically takes your fussing toddler in the other room while you try to answer the phone or the door.
The parent who sacrifices self for the greater good of those in the household
The mother-in-law who insists on helping you with the dishes
The person who teaches you how to _________
The mother who weeds the garden with you
The father who drive two days in pain for a visit
The grandfather who waters your tomatoes while you are gone
The friend who shares your workload with you, even when there are "much better things they could be doing"
The friend who gives a crib for your new baby
The grandmother who gives from the work of her own hands, even though they are aching
The lady up the street who drops off a meal when times are tough
The one whom you can discuss politics and religion with - and still remain friends!
The husband who loves his wife - faults and all
The wife who builds and edifies her husband - faults and all
The children who obey you -faults and all
The brother who prays with you
The sister who cries with you
The old man who gives you advise
The old woman who dotes on you
The retail worker who goes the extra mile to help you
The waitress who gets the high chair BEFORE she takes
The teenager who is respectful to you
The person who admits he/she was wrong and asks for forgiveness
The person who truly forgives
The businessman that allows his worker family time (and a job to come back too)
The man who mows the neighbors lawn (just because)
The neighborhood home that is the safe haven for kids
The person who remembered your birthday
The person who remembered your prayer request
The person who notices when your eyes drop to the floor and your shoulder tense up
The person who fills a need that was never spoken

Love is:
The ONE who considers you as more precious then Himself (YHVH/God) and then teaches us how to do the same

The ONE who gave His people guidelines to live by in Torah (YHVH/GOD)

The ONE who sacrificed someone perfect for many who are imperfect (YHVH/GOD)

The ONE who forgives beyond measure (YHVH/God)

The ONE who is righteous, yet full of grace (YHVH/God)

The ONE who reveals Himself to us through His Scriptures, through His son Yeshua, and through His Holy Spirit (YHVH/God)

The ONE who is faithful and true (YHVH/God)

The ONE who is the Alpha and Omega (YHVH/God)

The ONE true friend who will not forsake you (YHVH/God)

YHVH is love.
