Welcome to Home Shalom!

Welcome to Home Shalom and Shalom Farm. We pray your visit here be blessed. We are learning to walk in the Ways (Torah) of our Father YHWH and follow Y'shua, His Messiah until He returns to "set things straight". We call it a "Messi-Life". Our walk is neither tidy nor perfect, but it is filled with passion, devotion and desire to serve our King. We are learning to be humble servants, and to be good stewards of the things that He has entrusted to us: His Word, our marriage, our children, our family, our community, our health, and our farm. Hitch your horse and stay a while--our door is always open!

Preparing Our Hearts Before YHVH

As we approach the Fall Moed, there is an increased heaviness on my heart. My own short comings have become magnified. This week I was woken out of my sleep 3 times to pray. I find YHVH revealing things as I ask Him too and He cleanses me in a firm and loving way as he prepares me to be a better Ambassador for Him. He gives me the heart of a child who only wants to magnify her Father.

Those of you who have spent a lot of time studying about YHVH's Feasts know that Scriptures tell us we do not know the day or the hour in which Yahshua will return, but that YHVH has created these Appointed Times so that He will be glorified. It is clear that will all be a witness to His sovereignty and His plan. So as this time draws near it is natural that His people are stirred in the Spirit. Those whom he is showing Himself too, are called to be Watchman on the Walls. You are not only called to gaurd His word in your hearts, but to teach to your children and then let your light shine forth, as you walk in holiness. This is a TALL ORDER! (Halleluyah for Shabbat so that we may be regualrly "recharged" for our daily walk with Him!) This season is very important for us to humbly come before Him even deeper than we do in our daily walks, even deeper than we do on our weekly time of rest and reflection...one of these years...We are going to be called to serve in a more intence and mighty way than ever has been required in the History of man...We need to brace our selves for what they might be. Are we willing to give our all? Our homes? Our lives? Our comfort? Our safety? Our plans? Our pride? Our ideas? Give all fully without reservation in an instant?? He has built in a "walk" in the Scriptures, that refines us and trains us to be ready for that day...if it doesn't happen in our life time..than He has used us to prepare our children to carry that torch stronger and ever better than we could and HIS legancy goes on...because we are a chosen generation, set apart for His purposes as He brings His plan to the hieght of its glory. We are His children, we are His name sake. May you never forget who you are! You are who you are only because He has chosen you, it is only by His grace that we have been redeemed and set apart. We are all over the globe. He has placed us where we are for a purpose which you can only know if you incline your ears to His Spirit and are willing to do what He says.

I am compelled to study what Scripture says about repentance and humbling myself before Him. Below are little nuggets that stood out to me form His Word in this season, as I (continue) allow Him to prepare my heart and mind in this season and meditate on who it is I am called to be and what it is I am called to do.

Duet 10:16 Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiff necked.

1 Chron 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Neh 1:9 But if ye turn unto me, and keep my commandments, and do them; though there were of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven, yet will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set my name there

Job 36:9-12 Then he sheweth them their work, and their transgressions that they have exceeded. He openeth also their ear to discipline, and commandeth that they return from iniquity. If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures. But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.

Psalm 34:1I will bless YHVH at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.2 My soul shall make her boast in YHVH: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.3 O magnify YHVH with me, and let us exalt his name together.4 I sought YHVH, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.6 This poor man cried, and YHVH heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.7 The angel of YHVH encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.8 O taste and see that YHVH is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.9 O fear YHVH, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek YHVH shall not want any good thing.11 Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of YHVH.12 What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.15 The eyes of YHVH are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.16 The face of YHVH is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.17 The righteous cry, and YHVH heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.18 YHVH is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but YHVH delivereth him out of them all.20 He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.21 Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.22 YHVH redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.

Psalm 51:17 The sacrifices of ELOHIYM are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O ELOHIYM, thou wilt not despise.

Isaiah 57:15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Ezekial 36:21 But I had pity for mine holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the heathen, whither they went. 22 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, thus saith the ADONAY YHVH; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am YHVH, saith the ADONAY YHVH, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. 24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.28 And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your ELOHIYM.

Hos 10:12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek YHVH, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.

(Leviticus 26 reminds us of the blessings of obedience and the curses or disregarding obedience. )

1 John 1: 1That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; 2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son YAHSHUA MASHIYACH. 4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. 5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that ELOHIYM is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of YAHSHUA MASHIYACH his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Ecc 5: 1 Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of ELOHIYM, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil.
2 Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before ELOHIYM: for ELOHIYM is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few. 3 For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool's voice is known by multitude of words.

1 Sam 2 And Hannah prayed and said, "My heart exults in YHVH;my strength is exalted in YHVH. My mouth derides my enemies, because I rejoice in your salvation.2] “There is none holy like YHVH;there is none besides you;there is no rock like our God. 3 Talk no more so very proudly, let not arrogance come from your mouth; for YHVH is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed. 4 The bows of the mighty are broken, but the feeble bind on strength.5 Those who were full have hired themselves out for bread, but those who were hungry have ceased to hunger. The barren has borne seven, but she who has many children is forlorn.6 YHVH kills and brings to life; he brings down to Sheol and raises up.7 YHVH makes poor and makes rich;he brings low and he exalts.8 He raises up the poor from the dust;he lifts the needy from the ash heap to make them sit with princes and inherit a seat of honor. For the pillars of the earth are YHVH's,and on them he has set the world. 9 “He will guard the feet of his faithful ones, but the wicked shall be cut off in darkness, for not by might shall a man prevail.10 The adversaries of YHVH shall be broken to pieces;against them he will thunder in heaven.YHVH will judge the ends of the earth;he will give strength to his king and exalt the power of his anointed.” 11 Then Elkanah went home to Ramah. And the boy ministered to YHVH in the presence of Eli the priest.

Matt 23:10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even MASHIYACH.11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted. 13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.

James 4:5 Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? 6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, YHVH resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.7 Submit yourselves therefore to YHVH. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.8 Draw nigh to ELOHIYM, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of YHVH, and he shall lift you up.11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. 12 There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another? 13 Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: 14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.15 For that ye ought to say, If YHVH will, we shall live, and do this, or that.16 But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

Ephesians 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the ADONAY, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;5 One ADONAY, one faith, one baptism, 6 One ELOHIYM and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. 7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of MASHIYACH.8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) 11 And he gave some, aposeles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of MASHIYACH:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of ELOHIYM, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of MASHIYACH:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even MASHIYACH:16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.17 This I say therefore, and testify in the ADONAY, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of ELOHIYM through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.20 But ye have not so learned MASHIYACH;21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in YAHSHUA:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;24 And that ye put on the new man, which after ELOHIYM is created in righteousness and true holiness.25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:27 Neither give place to the devil.28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of EL, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as ELOHIYM for MASHIYACH's sake hath forgiven you.

(Duet chapter 30 tells us how important it is to keep His commands and how he circumsicses our hearts so that we are able to follow His ways instead of our own. It also warns us of the judgement will happen if we do not. )

1 Kings 8:56 Blessed be YHVH, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.57 YHVH our ELOHIYM be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us:58 That he may incline our hearts unto him, to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and his statutes, and his judgments, which he commanded our fathers.59 And let these my words, wherewith I have made supplication before YHVH, be nigh unto YHVH our ELOHIYM day and night, that he maintain the cause of his servant, and the cause of his people Israel at all times, as the matter shall require:60 That all the people of the earth may know that YHVH is ELOHIYM, and that there is none else.61 Let your heart therefore be perfect with YHVH our ELOHIYM, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day.

Where does one stop??? It is so hard for me to stop in the Word. (My family will testify!!) I left so much out and there is so much more I have yet to study! I pray the Spirit has harkened your ears to hear His Holy Words!

May you be richly blessed in this season of YHVH's Set Apart times. May you draw neared to Him in ways you never knew possible. May you be strengthened and encouraged; May you be convicted and stripped clean again; May you know who you are in Him and a little more about who He is and what His plan is in this season so that you may tell your children and they may tell their children. May you be a living sacrifice for His ways and a bold testimony of His love!
