To Be or Not to Be

About 7-8 years ago - YHVH triggered yet another pivotal point in my spiritual walk. I was at a ladies retreat with my church. I heard one thing at that retreat...it was the answer (by Yah) to a questioned asked by the woman who was speaking. She asked for us to present this question to The Father.  "If you cleared away all the clutter and all the responsibilities and all your vision, hopes, dreams and all your desires and  you boiled your relationship with Father down to ONE THING...what would that ONE THING be?"  I honestly sought Yah for the answer to this question posed before me on that day. I worshiped, I prayed and I stayed still before my maker and savior. And what he told me was simply to "BE" in Him. BE. This puzzled me. What did he mean? Why was He so cryptic? Could He expound please??? But that was it - that was the answer and it was my job to search out it's fuller description and do it....He led me one step at time - with a trail of clues like a bird following a trail of crumbs..the more I searched the more He revealed and continues to - to this day. (May it always be so!)

Proverbs 25 comes to mind of how he often leads us along in our growth- 2 It is the glory of God to conceal things, but the glory of kings is to search things out. 3 As the heavens for height, and the earth for depth, so the heart of kings is unsearchable. 4 Take away the dross from the silver, and the smith has material for a vessel; 5 take away the wicked from the presence of the king, and his throne will be established in righteousness. 6 Do not put yourself forward in the king’s presence or stand in the place of the great, 7 for it is better to be told, “Come up here,” than to be put lower in the presence of a noble.

He sees our faithful desire and calls us out of false religion; lies;  the ways of the world; our sinful self; our ignorance; our rebellion and our desire to control things and teaches us to BE IN HIM in stead. He chooses those who WANT Him above all else. Yes, He loved us first - don't get me wrong - but He gives us a choice in it all and those that are (still yet human and fallible but) faithful are divided out, separated and elected to be "chosen" to carry out his purpose and plan.

Another thing He showed me was His time with Moshe at the burning bush, when Moshe asked what he should tell the people and what they should call Him.  Exodus 3:14 God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And he said, “Say this to the people of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” 15 God also said to Moses, “Say this to the people of Israel, ‘YHVH, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, and thus I am to be remembered throughout all generations.

Well, I am no English major and I know that they weren't speaking in English either! However, I recognized "am" as a form of "be" and studied it in the English and later in the Hebrew...and I was SET BACK by its power and what Yah was telling me! (Much like the word "love" it is often misrepresented as a passive theoretical or philosophical word - but in fact it is quite an active VERB yet it has a presence that is felt and experienced like no other -- It is so Hebraic! )  He IS holy and He is transforming me according to my willingness, to BE in Him. To BE holy. TO BE....He wants me to TO BE residing IN him - fully. He wants me (US!) to BE united in Him, joined together, fused, inseparable, wholly devoted, all about HIM, connected, and plugged in to Him every minute of every day.  He wants us all  TO BE worshipers to live lives devoted fully to Him and His ways.  He wants us to BE His!

This teaching below was recently released and it reminded me of that time when Yah spoke to me and answered the question that has changed my life and set the foundation for a life or worship:  "If you cleared away all the clutter and all the responsibilities and all the vision, hopes, dreams and all your desires and you boil your relationship with Father down to ONE THING...what would that ONE THING be?"
