My 8 year old son and I were talking and I asked him: What is a friend?
He said, "A friend is someone you can trust, someone whom you like to do stuff with; Someone who will never lead you astray or cause you harm on purpose, and someone whom forgives you when you make mistakes; Someone who is with you in good times and bad times."
I paused to get his attention and looked him directly in the eyes and said, "Son, I will ALWAYS BE YOUR FRIEND." He JUMPED into my arms with gusto and we both cried in a very long embrace. If I could have frozen time - I would have.
I write it here as a reminder to myself; I never want to stop being my children's best friend! Abba, may I never forget!
Welcome to Home Shalom!
Welcome to Home Shalom and Shalom Farm. We pray your visit here be blessed. We are learning to walk in the Ways (Torah) of our Father YHWH and follow Y'shua, His Messiah until He returns to "set things straight". We call it a "Messi-Life". Our walk is neither tidy nor perfect, but it is filled with passion, devotion and desire to serve our King. We are learning to be humble servants, and to be good stewards of the things that He has entrusted to us: His Word, our marriage, our children, our family, our community, our health, and our farm. Hitch your horse and stay a while--our door is always open!
