Welcome to Home Shalom!

Welcome to Home Shalom and Shalom Farm. We pray your visit here be blessed. We are learning to walk in the Ways (Torah) of our Father YHWH and follow Y'shua, His Messiah until He returns to "set things straight". We call it a "Messi-Life". Our walk is neither tidy nor perfect, but it is filled with passion, devotion and desire to serve our King. We are learning to be humble servants, and to be good stewards of the things that He has entrusted to us: His Word, our marriage, our children, our family, our community, our health, and our farm. Hitch your horse and stay a while--our door is always open!

Spring Feasts Calendar Tutorial

This is a very nice overview explanation of the Biblical Spring Feasts. It is direct and organized and to the point. One of the best I have seen. I can not "recommmend" the author's site as we have not explored it fully. However, this calendar is very good so we thought it worth posting. We wish we had something like this when we started! It can take a while to really "get it" and as soon as you think you do...you learn there is so much more to learn! :-)

Hi Pamela, I am wondering if you mind if I post Scott's Spring Feast Tutorial (Really it's for my family, they are mostly why I blog actually. I am always looking for good things to help them understand what we are doing as they too are learning as we are). I totally missed this on his site:( Scott is a great guy. We got to know him when he stayed at our house a few days a while back. We had a lot of fun with him and he has quite a lot of good info., we think anyway. His wife is also a beautiful singer and has some really lovely worship music.
I hope you have a blessed day where you are today!!
Ps Love to read your blog...thank you for sharing with us:)

Thank you for this post! I will be watching these videos with the kiddo's at lunch today!!!

This year I have had less information on my blogs, I just haven't had the time to invest with the garden and all. I don't know how you do it, I feel like a lazy bones compared to you!!!!
Have a great day!!
Shalom,
Moira
*Speaking of the garden I have to go mulch!

I might want to mention here that while this video mentions that we undertsand First Fruits to be counted from the day after the weekly Sabbath. This chart mentions that as another possibility, but He favors the fixed date of the 16th and has that illustrated. Each man must reasearch it and deside for himself. We are always learning on our walk and find ourself looking into it each yar with fresh eyes as we check ourselves (So wea re always opne to Yah showing us differently (may it always be so!). Anyway. Here is a little video that talks specifically about tha in case you are interested.
