Welcome to Home Shalom!

Welcome to Home Shalom and Shalom Farm. We pray your visit here be blessed. We are learning to walk in the Ways (Torah) of our Father YHWH and follow Y'shua, His Messiah until He returns to "set things straight". We call it a "Messi-Life". Our walk is neither tidy nor perfect, but it is filled with passion, devotion and desire to serve our King. We are learning to be humble servants, and to be good stewards of the things that He has entrusted to us: His Word, our marriage, our children, our family, our community, our health, and our farm. Hitch your horse and stay a while--our door is always open!

Sabbath is a Sign (Poem)

The Sabbath is a sign
between us and The Divine
A day that's set apart
to examine blushing hearts

A covenant so sweet

holy and sacred retreat
A gift from Him above
that shows unending love

The Sabbath; Holy date
I pray we are not late
Some choose a different time
one that suits them just fine
Yet reveals a heart of stone
one that prefers a way - its own
One that chooses other things
instead of wishes of the King

I know His grace abounds
without it I am unwound
No favor would I see
if not grace was there for me

How do I help my friend
my brother to the end,
see what is meant to be
a sign of destiny?

How do I share with him
the joy from within
when we bend our wounded knee
to share this time with Yah so free?

Do I tell him he is wrong?
Do I turn my face from him?
Do I plead and beg and whine?
Do I tell him its a sin?

I think not these
but rather on my knees
take this special time
and pray hearts refined
That lives be turned in
and minds soon rescind
I pray they tender be
for The Creator and His plea
to set this day apart
raise Him first in the heart
No matter what the cost
Do we forget what HE lost
Only to be close to us
Yet spoiled children make a fuss!

Its with praise and offerings
Shalom and Thanksgiving
that I whisper up this prayer
to my Abba with such care

May Your harvest come soon
May Your people's hearts bloom
with fragrance of Your love
May the fruits fall from Above

I am so thankful to be here
on this precious day so near
A bride waiting for her Groom

May I never dare presume
that Your Word is obsolete
or my salvation so complete
that I shant obey
your plain and sovereign ways
Straying not on my own
with a prideful heart of stone

Rather Abba, keep my nigh
never run the river dry
Keep me close at hand
as I revere your commands
Make me yours through and through
refine me, mold me, shake me too
Turn me inside out-
but never never let me doubt
that Your promises are true

I can always count on You!

Thank you Abba for your precious Shabbat!

Baruch ata YHVH!
