Welcome to Home Shalom!

Welcome to Home Shalom and Shalom Farm. We pray your visit here be blessed. We are learning to walk in the Ways (Torah) of our Father YHWH and follow Y'shua, His Messiah until He returns to "set things straight". We call it a "Messi-Life". Our walk is neither tidy nor perfect, but it is filled with passion, devotion and desire to serve our King. We are learning to be humble servants, and to be good stewards of the things that He has entrusted to us: His Word, our marriage, our children, our family, our community, our health, and our farm. Hitch your horse and stay a while--our door is always open!

Creamy Greek Dressing

4 oz feta cheese
2 tsp minced garlic
2 tsp dijon mustard
3T fresh parsley
1/2 tsp salt
2 gr onions or shallots or 1/4 red onion
1/4 tsp dried oregano
1 large lemon, juiced

1/4C olive oil

Pull all the ingrediants in a blender EXCEPT for the oil. Blend. Now, keep the blender running and slowly drizzle the oil into the blender in s steady stream. Makes 1 pint. Store in the fridge. Every Greek salad must have fresh tomatoes, mild onions, crisp lettuce and olives in my opinion. :-) Enjoy!

My homemade feta from my goaties would be WONDERFUL in this! We basically pick lettuce, green onions, garlic from our garden, put our feta on it and then drizzle olive oil and balsamic vinegar on top. This is a summer staple!

Crytal, Simple V/O is so lovely! I like to just squeeze lemon juice or lime juice by itself too. Simplicity has its rewards! :-)
